The critically-acclaimed Hot Tamales Live was the closing show and performed to rave reviews at the HBO/AEG LIVE Comedy Festival in Vegas and has been featured on the Buzz on HBO,  E!, Access Hollywood, The Insider, Inside Edition, CBS, Telemundo, Univision, NY Daily News, The Hollywood Reporter, LA Times, ABC, Latina Magazine,  and much more.  The show has been the “Pick of the Week” in the Los Angeles Times since February 2005 and is a Los Angeles Women’s Theater Festival Maverick Award-winner. Kiki Melendez has received the “Key to the City” By Mayor Perez of Hartford, Connecticut this past May.  

Kiki Melendez, who co-created the show with Eva Longoria said, “The show is multicultural and we pride ourselves in our celebration of diversity.  We are also proud to have been successful at establishing a showcase for women but we also include talented men.  All ethnic groups are represented, which makes it fresh and new.  Our show is infused with sketch comedy, dancers and a host which gives it a “Latin Flavor”.
